D - Day : 6th June 1944 - 75 Years On.

In an age when supposed statesmen of different political persuasions 'tweet' all too base insults, and swathes of 'the people' think themselves social revolutionaries simply by wearing slogan shirts, attending protests and wasting large sums on costly protest toys, the difference between "their age and ours" is only too starkly obvious.

To echo the words of those enormously brave, but oh so modest...
"We are just the Veterans...the real heroes are down there".

The time difference between then and now is less than a lifetime.....but it appears an eternity.
